Strengthening Defence Capability in North Queensland
Between April and July 2022, A. Gabrielli Constructions proudly delivered a $3.6 million civil and pavement rehabilitation project at Lavarack Barracks, Townsville - Australia’s largest Army base.
Our works included:
- Full pavement replacement at the Flexible Learning Centre Carpark, with new kerbing and fresh line marking for improved safety and access.
- Upgrades to the 11CSSB Vehicle Maintenance Compound, regraded and resurfaced to fix drainage issues and boost functionality to support Army’s mission.
Partnering with trusted local subcontractors, we met Defence’s strict safety, quality, and environmental standards while navigating weather delays.
By staging works in phases, we allowed ADF operations to keep running smoothly and delivered a fit-for-purpose upgrade that supports Army’s mission in North Queensland.
