With the new Year 7 to secondary project scheme that has been introduced the college needs to upgrade its facilities to be able to cope with the influx of students in the near future.
AGC began works at Southern Cross Catholic College in late May 2014 and completed in December 2014. Our scope of works upon award of the project consisted of the construction of new classroom blocks, walkways between buildings and extension to the car parking including a pedestrian bridge and new landscaping works to match pre‐existing landscape. The classrooms required a high quality finish with suitable equipment for the longevity of use of; including up‐to‐date smartboards, kiln for use in the art room and a fume cupboard for the science department. There was also a requirement to construct a pedestrian bridge and alter the main entrance in accordance with the local council’s requirements to enable effective traffic management entering the premises.
