Ryan Catholic College Year 7 - Secondary & A

CONTRACT BUILD - $8.5million

With the new Year 7 to secondary project scheme that has been introduced the college needs to upgrade its facilities to welcome almost 400 new students in the coming years. The development includes the construction of 3 new classroom blocks, an IDT Centre, Science Block, Textiles FLA Block, Administration Block and the extension of an existing classroom block. Construction on the new development is expected to be completed by the middle of November 2013. Check out our quarterly progress below.

The new buildings were modern, bright, appealing and attractive within the surrounding grounds and complimented well with existing buildings and structures.   Building materials were consistent with existing buildings, however portrayed a more modern appeal to create a ‘fresher’ learning environment.

The new science block contains quality stainless steel fixtures together with comfortable interior furnishings, exhibiting a clean and crisp working environment.

The new Administration block had been constructed to create a pleasing and aesthetic working environment for staff and a professional yet welcoming area for both visitors and students alike.

The classrooms in Block A100 and Block A200 offer pleasing and calming views out into open courtyard, as does the new Textiles and Science Blocks.  The new Classroom Block 600A offers a similar view incorporating a view of the aforementioned blocks.   A new sandpit area just in front of this block contains sun protection with sunshade for the protection of students from the tropical sun. It is constructed to accommodate the dry tropical environment and provide appropriate shade and furniture to support structured activities and social gatherings between peers.
