Recycled Water Treatment Facility

Cleveland Bay, Townsville

Townsville City Council has commissioned AGC to deliver the Townsville Recycled Water Treatment Plant at the Cleveland Bay Purification Plant. This $31 million design and construct project, commenced in September 2022, is set for completion this year. Once operational, the facility will produce 15 megalitres of Class A recycled water per day, supporting Townsville’s reputation for sustainability while enabling further industrial development.

• Connection into existing CBPP plant to divert water to new recycled treatment plant.
• 5ML Raw water Holding Tank / 3ML Clean Water Holding Tank
• UV Treatment Facility
• Distribution Pumps Facility
• Electrical Switchroom
• 2MVA Transformer & Backup Generator
• 7km of pipework to distribute water to industrial customers.

This project promises to be transformative for Northern Australia’s largest city, especially as it attracts more heavy industry to our region.
