Connecting Communities in Townsville’s South
AGC is proud to have delivered the transformational Lakeside Pathways Project for the Department of Transport and Main Roads, completed between April and August 2024.
This $2.7 million active transport link runs alongside Lakeside Drive, connecting to Stuart Drive and improving pedestrian and cycle access around Fairfield Central and Idalia.
Civil works included:
- Concrete paths, kerbing & asphalt
- Retaining walls & precast units
- Bollards, signage, electrical fixtures & landscaping
AGC worked with a wide array of subcontractors to meet DTMR’s high standards for quality, safety, and environmental impact.
As Townsville continues to grow, projects like this support urban renewal, improve access to employment hubs and promote connected communities.
