AGC successfully delivered the Ergon Garbutt Substation in November 2022. We were contracted to deliver a crucial infrastructure project supporting Townsville’s power distribution network – especially important as the city grows and demand for reliable power increases. As principal contractor for Ergon Energy Network, AGC designed and constructed the new substation, delivering a challenging project within a live high-voltage environment.

The project was delivered despite COVID-19-related challenges, using AGC’s network of local subcontractors, to deliver the project in a timely and efficient manner for a significant government-owned client.
